I ran across the linked article today, read it, and decided to comment. Part of it is that DW had a heck of a time renewing her driver's license this past year, because she has changed her name upon marrying me (actually shortly after). The paperwork we had was deemed "insufficient" for DMVs purposes, so we had to jump through some hoops to get "sufficient" paperwork.
