Today Alan Gura et al. will be responding to Washington DC's petition to overturn the lower court decision that DC's ban on functional firearms and posession of handguns is an unreasonable infringement on the individual right to keep and bear arms recognized in the Second Amendment of the US Constitution under a Strict Scrutiny Standard of Review.

I can't be there, all I can do is pray that the justices can read and parse plain english.

The irony is that allowing or restricting weapons to citizens will not really stop a determined killer from getting his hands on one and committing the crime anyways. It's not like every murderer or person who attempts to kill someone with a firearm actually bought the gun legally.
